If you're gonna peek at the Cayman, I would also take a look at the C7 Stingray. I love Porsche as much as the next guy, but the C7 has so much performance and value for the dollar. I know, I know, but for a just second, forget your preconceived notions of a Corvette, GM finally deliveres the whole package with the one. As far as the Audi goes, the current generation is long in the tooth...8 years and counting. I would wait till the all new 2017/18 version is released.

If Audi is an option, I'd go with the S5 over the RS5 unless your vision is purely for a V8.

Yep, that's what I did! And then put a Borla exhaust on it. Sounds alright..

^ have you been experiencing any carbon buildup with the FSI engine? I know it's been an issue that has unfortuntely plagued that engine.

Car is six years old/38K miles and doesn't exhibit any carbon issues. I'm sure it has some carbon buildup, but nothing that can't be cleaned. I've got a friend with a walnut blaster and will clean her up before 50K, which is usually when they need it.

If you drive the car like it is meant to be run, wide open throttle, every once in a while, it definitely helps to blow out the carbon and get hot enough to keep the carbon at bay. Drive it around like an old lady, and it's going to start stumbling and popping misfire codes in around 3 years. There are people with close to 100K who had very little carbon, but they run the car hard, a lot. Then again, it can look like the bottom of a charcoal grill by 40K miles, just depends.

People are gonna either love it or hate it, but I'd consider the upcoming GS-F just for the 2 extra doors as a daily driver.
