Finally pulled the trigger to fix it.

I been procasinating to fix my peeled side door panel.. After I replaced the rear brake pads (hps) I decided to buy some dupli-color paint (carbon fiber kit)
This are the result.






Notice there's a square bump below the side mirror control its the sign I peel it off later.

That does actually look pretty good.

Did you finally get around to it cuz your shorts inspired you?

..juuusst do it..

How does that look like CF?

Are you sure you didn't get a can of spray-on, International Morse code chart ?

Yea is the kit they have two spray paint Step 1 and 2 then they provide some templates before you apply the step 2 spray paint.

well its actually a spray-on paint. The paterns that it makes it look like Carbon Fiber.

I plastidipped mine first but it eventually got nicked and spotty. I had some blue slate paint left over from painting my grill and spoiler so I used that to paint them.

You didnt need a special template, Painters have been using kitchen cabinet lining for years to mimic CF pattern. You just do a black base coat, let it dry, lay on the cabinet liner and do a coat of a gunmetal, done.
