90k service 2008

So I just had my 90k service on 08g35xs by my mechanic and he didn't really do too much as like I've seen others on here. It was only a few hundred bucks. He gave me the all data sheet of what they say to do and it's very minimal compared to the Infiniti manual which says I believe replace a lot of stuff. All data basically says just inspect everything , change oil, and cabin air filter. I think that was basically it. He wasn't going to change my tranny oil as it only said to inspect but I said it probably needs it so he did do that. So just wondering all the stuff infinit says do you have to follow all that and replace everything and spend a ton? I know he didn't change my coolant or anything else just looked at it. I'm going to do the cabin air filter myself.

Cabin filter removal and replace/install is easy (check youtube), buy a k&n one and youll be good for life, same goes for the 2 air filters. Right before i hit 100k miles (around 98.5k, 4 months ago) i had my mechanic flush and fill all fluids (tranny, differential, transfer case, coolant, power steering) and also the spark plugs just to start fresh as i knew i was going to be at 100k in no time and that none of these have probably been changed before (got my car at 78k so im not sure).

I purchased everything except the coolant and power steering fluids through websites/ebay and brought it all to them. The only reason i did that is because i wanted to use specific lubes that i know they dont use and i got the stuff cheaper than going through them.

With all that done and an oil change(brought my own oil there) and inspection it ran me $762 with tax.
