Good Exhausts Systems???

Hey I'm new here.
I have a 2008 G35x AWD for my first car and I wanna put some more hp into it while at the same time sounding amazing. I figured getting a cat back is probably the best thing aside from getting a turbo, which I can't get because I'm 16 and not made of money...

Are there any good exhaust systems for under $1k? Ik it's not the best, but is a Manzo good? I would love to get a Stillen or ARK but again, I'm not made of money.

Magnaflow, they make a quality exhaust that shouldn't empty your wallet and still sound good...Gary

Ark is a great exhaust system. A little higher than what you budgeted but a superior product never the less. We have really great deals on them currently.

Keep your exhaust stock if you can't afford the top tier systems (motordyne & hks) trust me you don't want those other budget exhaust systems they are a waste of money.

Not to mention you're too young and it's your first car. Learn to drive the car first before you worry about power. you have so much to learn and the car is far more capable than your skills currently allow.

Magnaflow will give a deeper tone and nice rumble. Anyway, whatever exhaust you get don't expect huge hp gain. There are other mods that you need to do.

Any feedback on the TopSpeed Pro1 or Megan? I have heard sound clips and they seem like a good bang for your buck.

raspy as shitt and arent made very well. as far as sound goes thats your preference.
imo i would save a bit more and get a better quality used one on here, or a new invidia- some ebay vendors sell them right about 850-900 shipped.
youll be glad you did it right the first time

You're best bet is to search the classified section of the forum. You should find some deals there. I purchased my exoticspeed exhaust from a member on this forum. I love its performance, sound, and the way it looks.

Had my TopSpeed for 4 years, ZERO rasp, a bit of drone in the 1800 rpm window but most aftermarket sets have that. Maybe the quality has slipped w/ them since then but mine still cleans up as new and very good sound.

TopSpeed here. Great sound but loud in combo with the long tube headers. Rolling stealth with factory exhaust for the winter. Thinking about selling mine.

You know your exhaust setup sucks if you lose the vq "purrrrrr" sound and all you hear is uneven exhaust sound.

I have been running the fast intentions exhaust on my 08X since 2009 and its really good quality. Doesn't drone and sounds clean. Wife is not annoyed either, unlike the Stillen 05X exhaust I had on my previous car.
