This is probably goodbye...G Totaled

Several weeks ago someone smashed into my parked G. No one was hurt and they left their insurance information. Just wanted to say my thanks and goodbyes to this forum as I will be moving on to something else. No idea what car but it won't be a G. If somehow I can convince the insurance company to let me take some parts off of it, I will post in the classifieds.

So, if it won't be a G, will it be a Q?

Probably not unless I can find a low mileage used one for cheap

Ill try and get pics uploaded at some point. It honestly does not look bad at all but the entire front suspension is jacked. broken axle, driveshaft, control arm, links, etc. That plus the body work puts the cost to repair over the value of the car, therefore totaled.

Ahh damn, that sucks! Sorry to see this.

Best of luck with your new wheels, whatever they may be.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Man that's so sh!tty, at least they were stand up folks and did the right thing. Just bcuz your G is gone doesn't mean you have to be from here. Hell I bought a GTO last fall and I'm still on here a lot. I convince myself it's to do my mod duties but at the end of the day that's BS. Even though membership quality has declined dramatically we all knew that was coming and I still enjoy a lot of what's posted. I've been around so long Driver feels like home to me and I just can't completely walk away no matter how hard I've tried at times lol.

GL to you in the future, enjoy whatever ride the universe provides you next and don't be a stranger.....Peace

I spoke with the insurance company and their evaluation was for everything that was currently on the car. I dont have any of the oem parts which means I couldnt swap anything. Unfortunately I had to give up the M shift ****, the GTR start button, illuminated door sills, front lip, G37 coupe wheels and midnight grill. I could have put up a fight but overall they cut me a check for more than I thought, so Im OK with it.

Only things I managed to save were OEM wheel locks and iPod connector.

For those that are interested, I am slowly narrowing down what I will be getting next. I have eliminated the Q50. Right now its looking like a used Audi S3 is leading the pack. I will say that the WRX is also a possibility.

Those are the OEM G37 sport wheels that I had painted. 19x8.5 all the way around.
