Exhaust question!!!!!!!

Hi guys, I try to do some searching but didn't really find what I was looking for!
I have a 2007 GS Sedan that I'm wondering if I should go HFC's or just get down pipes(eliminating the cats all together) had gutted cats on my VQ35 equipt Maxima and she loved it,but I noticed some low end loss of tq,so I want to hear from personal experience what is you guys experience with mentioned mods on this car. Thanks again guys.

If you go with test pipes run the resonated ones. I've been very happy w/ mine & no rasp.

Which brand did you ended up using and also did you get a fuely smell with no cats? That's my only concern about the whole thing. Thanks

every test pipe, resonated or not, will give off the fuel smell

Yes you probably should, else your car will have to work itself away from lean condition.

You can do the pedal one, or pull the battery cable if you don't care about the radio stations.

I don't know if this is also true for 2007-8 G35 but with 2009 and later, the reason they make more noise at cold start up is ECM richens mixture initially for 6-7 seconds to send unburnt fuel into catalytic converters where it then burns, to get cats up to operating temperature quicker to reduce emmissions quicker. So if you delete catlayst and run test pipes resonated or not and ECM is still programmed to dump extra fuel in at cold start to heat cats, which are no longer there, this could be the source of the gas smell you notice when cats are deleted.
