Bump. No replies on this? I'm in the same boat with the same car- and the other guy's insurance is paying.

I'm considering the Duraflex TS-1. Anyone have better ideas? I'm having a hard time finding some of the aftermarket bumpers that were mentioned on these forums several years ago.

No really good kits out there for the v36, most are fiberglass and need extensive work to get the fit right. I went with a duraflex (I'm just really really cheap) bumper and getting the screws under the fender to line up was frustrating, especially since i have to drill the actual holes out. Vis racing has bumpers double the price I paid, so maybe double the ease? Either way, I'd probably just go original and add a lip, since you don't have the sport bumper

If you have Intelligent Cruise Control you're going to run into some issues with most aftermarket bumpers (and the stock sport bumper) blocking the ICC laser module. The non-sport bumper does look really good with a front lip spoiler added to it so you might look at going that route.

Well, I was thinking of putting the 09 G37 sport bumper on the front. All the auto body shops around me are really down on the fiberglass bumper thing and keep telling me "you wont be happy with the results" =-(. Thoughts on that? How much extra work was the Duraflex TS-1 bumper for you to install (I'm trying to figure out if it would be way too much work for the shop). I haven't seen a Vis bumper that really caught my eye.

Right now I'm thinking maybe the 09 G37 sport bumper and adding a lip might be the way to go...

My bumper was really annoying, grinding and filling to make it just fit, but definitely cheap. Luckily, didn't have to cut and use fiberglass sheets. Probably just spend the extra money.

I've heard the G37 conversion is pretty annoying too, though. But it looks sick.

Yeah, that's what I thought on the Duraflex- thanks for sharing that. It's hard to find real-life reviews on that kind of thing.

I would like to do the 2010/2011 G37 conversion but my headlights are fine and I don't want to pay for all that myself right now. The 2009 G37 is supposed to be the same bolt-on fit as the 07/08. It doesn't look nearly as nice, but I figured what the heck.
