Buying a salvage g37 coupe

Hey guys

been a while. I have a g35 coupe and am looking to upgrade.

I found a great deal on a g37 coupe, 2009, 35K on it. Here's the kicker.

It was totaled a few years back, then rebuilt, and sold at auction in IL. Then the current owner registered it in IN and got a clean title on it. Car fax reveals this information to be correct as well. The seller said that he took it to infiniti and they certified it to be in like new condition as well. I live in FL and would register the car here. WOULD I GET A CLEAN TITLE HERE IN FL SINCE THERE IS A CLEAN TITLE IN IN???

If I move forward with this, I will call Infiniti close to the seller and have them do a top down check and inspection on the car. If there are any indications of the car being less then perfect I will bail. Otherwise I think it may be a good deal.

What are your thoughts on this?

If you can get the car checked in depth (structural damage, etc) then maybe it would be fine. 12k seems extremely low though, I would estimate a 2009 blk/blk 35k salvage should go closer to the 17k mark.

The seller is very motivated.... also I would probably flip it after 6 months....

Um... I have owned a few cars with salvaged titles. They have been good. But a few things to know every state is different as far as registration goes. Check IN and FL. You may or may not have a salvaged title. If all checks out, For 12k I would say go 10 if he won't budge at all, 12 is good.

Buy it if you're going to keep the car and not resell after a couple of years.

+1...If you think you'll end up keeping it, I'd go for it. If you're going to flip it like you mentioned above, I would pass.

Black on black loaded G37 sounds great, if it checks out why would you want to flip it? If it doesn't have a salvage title in ID. there's no reason you'd get one in FL....Gary
