G37 California to Connecticut Break-in Drive!!

Picked up a 2013 G37 Sport 6 MT in Valencia California on Friday and drove it to Connecticut, arriving on Tuesday morning. I am so impressed with this car. I have had a 993 Porsche 911 and a Benz 560SL and this car beats both of them easily. It is an amazing combination of power, sportiness, space and luxury in a very beautifully styled package. I kept to the speed limit because I was breaking it in and I also didn't have a radar detector. The ride is definitely a stiff suspension, but you don't notice it until you really hit some bumps. It has very little wind noise at cruising speeds. The gear shift is smooth and the Bose system is reallly, really good. The command center with the navigation is laid out well and the steering controls work nicely. I used my Iphone hooked up to the usb port to listen to my music on the way across the country. The only minor complaint was with the navigation display. It definitely needs an upgrade and a re-think with how the data is presented. Overall, I couldn't be more happpy. I put 3450 miles on the car in 4 days. I am now going to climb under and do an oil change. Just a great car.

Road pix aren't very good. Was trying to take pix with the iphone and holding coffee( a lot of coffee!!) at the same time! Definitely a great trip. Went south out of LA through Phoenix and Tuscon, then Interstate 10 to Interstate 20. Stopped in Myrtle Beach to see a buddy, then on up to Connecticut. This is one fantastic vehicle.
