well depends...if ur doing to "look" like the ipl model then its poser. but if ur doing it cus u jus like the look I don't see anything wrong with it. and no ipl badges pls lol. look at bmw m3. they offer that kit now on non m models. so I think its ok so long u don't go the extra step to make it actually look like higher trim with all the badges and such

It wasn't meant to be taken literally. Our kit doesn't supply the additional HP, stiffer suspension, exhaust, or wheels, but I do understand how you may feel I misworded it. I'll go ahead and edit it now.

I don't believe this
I believe the thread said IPL look kit for your G37. Where is the confusion. Also, the IPL G37's are nothing to write home about. 18 extra horses, a little stiffer suspension, and a 4 piece kit. Please give me a break. The extra horsepower they claim can be had by bolting on an exhaust and an intake. Actually, Infiniti should be ashamed of themselves for putting this on the market. I understand creating the IPL series but, 18 horses, please that's a slap in the face.

I own a G35, but having been here for nearly 10 years... I've never understood why the need to just copy something, why not improve it? Shave the bumps off the back bumper. Make the front bumper hang a little lower (because the IPL, even on slammed cars, looks like it's 10'' off the ground in 4X4 mode). Integrate an open grill, etc.
You don't need to make big changes, subtle is beauty.
But I get it. It's not about originality, it's about the bottom dollar. As these cars get older, a younger owner buys them 2nd and 3rd hand. They can't afford the authentic stuff like the original buyer might have (after all, they spent $40,000+ new) and this is the niche that's targeted.
I would have respect for aftermarket companies if they just changed ONE thing on a design, but they never do. It's plagiarism, and disrespectful. Top Secret, Volk, MINEs, GReddy, Kenstyle, Data System - all the companies with original designs are hurt by companies who come behind them and steal their R&R. They stop making parts and then no longer have the money to make new parts.
What happens when the originators can't come up with new parts? What does your company, who only knows how to copy, do then?

AmateuRN,
Thank you for stating your opinion in a civilized fashion, I really appreciate that.
To address some of your concerns, I would like to point out that we do have our own Design and Prototype Department, and that we do have our own unique designs. For example, We recently released our 86-R standard and wide body kits for the FR-S/BRZ.
Our Ultimate goal is to provide our customers with the parts they desire, at the best possible price. Whether creating a new design from scratch, or modifying an existing design to better suit our customers, we are here to serve the market's demands.
Thank you,
Irving
