G37 owners who upgraded f/ 07-08 G35: Gas mileage improvement seen? Worth upgrade?

Can owners post their sas mileage comparison results after upgrading from 2008-2009 G35 sedan to a 2009+ G37 sedan?

I am VERY unhappy with the lifetime average I have recorded after 36,000 miles with my brand new 2008 G35x :
14-15 mpg on 87 octance
15-17 mpg on 93 octance

I am considering moving to a 2009+ G37x sedan.

Can owners post real world numbers on the gas mileage they are recording?
Thank you.

I'm surprised that bug hasn't been fixed yet.

I obviously meant 2007-2008 G35 in the thread title.

The 2009+ sedans are rated about 1 MPG better than the 2007-2008, mostly because of the 7 speed transmission. That isn't going to save you enough money to justify changing cars. Lets look at best case for your last 36000 miles. If you get 17 MPG now, 36000 miles / 17 mpg = 2117 gallons at $4 gallon = $8468 for fuel. If you had bought a 2009 and got 19 mpg (just assuming best case) then 1894 gallons at $4 would have cost $7576 for a savings of $892 over the entire time you owned the car, less if you paid under $4 a gallon. I'm pretty sure you can't upgrade to a newer model for that amount.

Is that the only reason you are going to trade in for a newer one? If so, it doesn't financially make sense.
