Don't shoot in the dark! I learned that driving a black Z

The last one is deffinately the best..more light, I can see more detail in the car.

Love those Nismo wheels! Cars look super clean.

First off, let me commend you on your ability to compose well.. All of your pictures are balanced very well. You obviously know what time of day to shoot (possibly a LITTLE earlier as LayDZee stated).

First Shot: Underexposure is the only thing that got you on the first shot.. The exposure is decent for the clouds, but you lose sight of your subject.. This can be corrected in post production to bring more life out of the shot.

Second shot: Again, nicely framed I'd just be weary of the light pole coming out of the top of your rear view. Nice contrasting color to bring out the car's color. Maybe try some sharpening or increasing the contrast to make the car pop a little more and break it away from it's background.

Third Shot: Personally, I like the 3rd shot for composition and just difference in angle.. That shot is nice to me.. It's not just the normal shot of a car, or a nice setting.. I like the balance of positive and negative space in that shot.. The turning of the wheel leads me right into the sedan.. Only thing in that shot that's distracting is the reflection of the light.. I'd edit that out.. But otherwise you have a great shot there..

The composition of the shot might not let you see much of the cars, but I like the shot for what it is.. Great idea and execution of set up... By far my favorite of all the shots

Fourth and Fifth shot: Multiple car shots are so hard to compose and to get any kind of excitement out of.. Positioning is important, type of cars, there's just so much that goes into shooting one car, that shooting multiple cars increases that triplefold.. You did a very good job here however.. I think the fourth shot is stronger of the two due to less sky, there's nothing really going on up there.. If there were clouds then maybe the fifth would have made more sense..

Sixth shot: Again.. Smaller composition but strength in what's there.. I like the lighting on the forewheel.. Grabs my attention immediately.. I personally wish that truck wasn't in the frame however, as that detracts from your image.. Could have been another strong one.

Seventh Shot: Like this shot too, but not the light pole.. The ligting drenches the car perfectly, and shows the lines of the ride especially over the roof.. I find my self looking at the car from the rear to the front in this shot because my eye is attracted to the lightest part of the shot first.. I wish there was a little more light on the front of the car to separate that part of your subject from the background however.. Love the gradients of blues in the sky.. Very dramatic.. I'd be interested to see this one w/ added contrast and black and white..

Eighth shot: WOW.. is that a UFO? Nah.. just kidding.. This is a very strong image as well.. I like the tight cropping.. I'm a fan of portrait car shots for some reason.. It makes the car look smaller and more compact. There's balance in the image as well.. The light coming from the side is a bit distracting however.. Personally I could crop the image right at the bottom of the "unidentified object"..

Ninth Pic: While the lighting is excellent, and the composition is strong, this image to me is nothing more than documenting the car.. There's no integration of the setting as seen with the other images. I was spoiled by looking at your other images as I got to see what else was going on surrounding the ride.. Then I felt it was all taken away.. I do like the arrow pointing in the other direction as it signifies progression and hints movement. This would be a perfect shot to promote the selling of your ride, to show how pristine you kept this car..

All in all, I'd say you had a successful day of shooting.. Great work..

Hope this helps..

Wow...thanks for all the feedback guys...that will help me a lot!

This was really my first "photoshoot", and I'm still just using the Av mode on my Rebel. Im hoping to try it out again and have better results.

This is at my apartment in uptown and it is usually always empty up top if anyone wants to meet up and give me pointers!!!

I was hoping to get out there around 7:30 or 8:00...but by the time I got done hand washing both cars, I didnt get there till about 8:45.

I didnt do any post-processing (wish I had that talent). I need to learn to use that as well.

Thanks again for the feedback!!! I've gots lots to work on to get to yalls caliber

Which rebel do you have? XSI? Do you have any post production tools to work with? Photoshop Elements even? You have an "eye" for composition which is the hardest part to develop.. You know how to replicate what you want to capture with your camera, now it's just experience in shooting.. Experimentation with lighting, and finding good settings.. That's all.. You're well on your way.. Keep up the good shooting..
