Installed some mods this weekend, Dirty Pics!!

Hey! Finally started modding the G this weekend, I put in MREV2 + 1/2 spacer (plan on going FI), copper TB upgrade, CF Gialla replica grill with mesh from Ionic, Richie's V2 Strut bar, and a Seibon TS hood. Out of all these things, the Hood was a nightmare!

I had to get a dremmel, a metal cutting bit, a metal cutting wheel lol... The alignment/fitment wasn't even close where my brackets were mounted on the car, so I dremmel'd the screw holes wider and taller so I had more alignment options with the hood. I got an even gap on each side of the hood (much bigger than I would like / thought would be there). Then I push the hood as far forward as I can and tighten the 3 bolts (couldnt get the front bolt on the Passenger side in, it was sticking out passed the bracket... couldn't even enlarge the hole to put the screw in (horrible). So I go to latch the hood and of course it doesnt latch! I already enlarged the holes as far forward as i could without ruining the bracket (pry 1/16" left on the bracket).

I double check everything and decide the gap is even on each side and the front looks as good as I could see it getting, the rear of the hood is flush with my fender line.

I shine my light in the front grill and see the hood's loop is hitting the car's guiding pins for the loop to fall down into and latch. I take my cutting wheel and cut the parts off the guide pins that the hood was hitting.

After it is all done and said, I was pleased with how it turned out. The side gaps are a little disapointing, but I've had CF hoods in the passed and am use to the disappointments.

I just wanted to post this so people know what to expect with the TS hood on the 06 G's if they're planning on getting it.

Here's some pictures!~ Sorry about the dirty car! No hose here at work

Not sure what a support bar is, but I don't think so. It has the stock pins that hold the top on, and the bottom I used doble sided 3M tape.

Very nice and well done install, any body shop would have tried to charge you an arm and a leg for all the work that you had to do to get that hood properly fitted. Looking tight!!

Man... So I pulled my car out of the snow this morning (wow that was fun) and take it to the car wash... Immediately I notice I have nasty scratches on my brand new ts hood already, right on the front nose of it, very noticeable!!!!!!!! ;[ and then I notice my grill is pushed in and som epins were brokeN?! Sux man, does anyone know if I can buff these scratches out of the hood? They are so damn noticeable and I feel like crap cuz the hood was close to $700 and now it already looks like crap.
