46K miles and you haven't done any service for it like oil changes or just haven't taken it in to the dealer? 30K is pretty much just air filter change along with oil filter and oil change. Taking it in to the dealer for any of these standard service intervals is a rip off. It's just a laundry list of "check" this and "inspect" that. All of which you can do yourself. Pretty sure you can handle topping off fluids as that is all that's included. Not flush and fill.
Only other things I can think of are coolant flush and fill and brake fluid change. No need for tire rotation since the coupe tires are staggered. Brake pads you can check yourself. 60K is more comprehensive.

Please clearify that statement. I'm very interested in how your car is running with no service at all at 46k miles. The dealer should top off all the fluids during a normal oil change and perform a walk through of the car which inlcudes checking this and that. I always go to the dealer for oil changes but never paid for anything other than what I specified. I do air filters myself. The most expensive service they did for me is change my brakes and manual tranny fluid at about 30K that they advised I didn't have to do. I told them to go read the manual and they did it. ![]() |

i did my oil change at the infiniti dealer once at 3000 miles and then i did all the other oil changes at good year and somtimes i do it myself. I brought it in for a diagnose at 30k miles because the engine was making some weird shakey noise but they told me it was because my oil was low and i needed an oil change and i changed it but it was still making that weird noise. now my car is making the wierd shakey noise and i think i have to change the transmission fluid too because somtimes it doesn't want to go into 2nd gear and when it does, it makes a clunk sound and 3rd gear is starting to be like that too.

He said he did service and maintenance just not always at the dealer, which resulted in possible oil consumption or other problems that went unnoticed. Hope everything works out for ya. |
