Take the BMI Test

I thought this is particularly timely since a new extensive study has linked overweight/obesity to cancer. It is now considered the second most important factor in causing cancer behind smoking.

Check out the link. I'm interested to see your results and hear your comments.....

I'll start. I'm 22.2, up from my normal 20.8 or so due to being more restricted in the type and volume of physical activity I can do now.

Could that be right?. Normal weight for my build is 175lbs at 5.7. At 175lbs 5.7 I am considered overheight by that BMI. If I were less then 175 I would loose muscle. Can not go my this BMI for all builds.

This BMI calculator doesn't take into account body type / muscle etc.

I am 6'2 240lbs & I am far from obese

I lift weights benching around 300 (I've been doing more high-rep lower weight at 3 sets of 15 reps of 185 on the bench) and just switched over to a 3x 7r of 205-210, curling 135(max, but again I've been doing more lower weight more reps lately), and other upper body stuff

I can't do any leg workouts because I have a bum knee. No leg press, squat or any of that jazz.

Size 36 pants. I can also out-sprint most smaller guys that I've ever had a go with.

Most people won't believe that I weigh 240. I'd say I look 210-215ish

Ditto! Dude, I'm up to 235. . .but it ain't from lifting weights. . .it's from my hottie wife's cookin! LOL

When I was 210lbs, in tip-top shape, and lifting 4 times a week, my doctor at my physical was like "um you should lose about 15 pounds." HAHAHAHA!

18.8, 5'11" 135lbs. Question, I'm going to start working out over the comming summer so what's a good way to start gaining a little more weight? My metabolism rate is quite high. I eat quite a lot, but just never seem to gain weight. Damn this is annoying, most of the people want to lose weight, I want to gain...I guess I should start cutting back those 6 km runs everyday lol jk.

21.3, but any given week my weight seems to vary by +-5 lbs. I don't know how useful it is if you are athletic, especially with bulky muscle. I'd be more concerned with cholesterol levels, blood pressure and resting heart rate as a health measure.
