Home Gym Equipment

What do you guys use for home gym equipment?

I find it's much easier for me to exercise at home rather than wasting gas and money on a gym membership.

I currently have a set of the Bowflex dumbbells with a bench, a cheap treadmill, and an exercise ball for core strengthening exercises.

I have an Eliptical machine I bought from a friend when she needed some money, I wasn't sure if I would even use it since I go to the gym 6 days a week. Well I use it alot. If I don't run outside I use it, my husband goes to the gym but I find he uses it quite a bit also. I also have some dumbells, the big exercise ball, a couple exercise tubes, a bosu ball and a bunch of videos. I used to have a Nordictrack ski machine and that thing will give you a great workout. Another thing is never buy new machines unless you know you will use them, there are tons of new/used stuff people buy and never use. My eliptical had only been used 4 times!

I used to have a Weider Home Gym - It was very nice.

I sold it because I was afraid my dog would get hurt. Every time I used it she came over to be in the room with me. I was afraid her tail would get stuck in the weight stack as she wagged. I locked her up a few times (My downstairs area where I had the gym had no door - wide open space) as I worked out, but she thought she was in trouble and sulked for the rest of the day.

My company has a gym, so thats what I use now.

All I have right now is a Tunturi Eliptical Trainer.

But I have not trained myself to use it regularly yet.

The Soloflex. It's built like a tank and still looks new like the day I bought it.

Treadmill, bench, dumb bells, stability ball. I used to have another larger bench with attachments and also 3 bars with weights but sold that stuff.

I now go to the gym however in order to use other cardio equipment my body can handle.

Funny, I am the opposite. At home I am faced with constant distractions. I tried working out at home years ago with nagging failure. In 1989 I started back at the gym. I have been going 4 to 5 times a week faithfully ever since. My wife and kids also go (10 years for them now) and we are recognized by most there because we work out as a family. My son and I are serious about it, my wife and daughter are into toning more than body building. It has become a lifestyle to us and it is part of our regular routine. We even go to the gym on vacation by taking 1 or 2 week memberships.
