Shopping list for those looking to eat clean
This is my personal shopping list which I've gravitated towards over the past few weeks. Little to no processed foods are on the list. Trying to eat like a caveman would...nothing but natural, whole foods.
Protiens * Eye of Round steak * Chicken breast or tenderloins * Salmon * Albacore Tuna * Eggs * Ground Turkey Carbohydrates * Green Beans * Sweet Potatoes * Broccoli * Squash * Zucchini * Carrots * Brown Rice * Oatmeal (steel cut if available) * Apples * Pineapple * Bananas * Oranges Fats * Olive oil * Flax seed oil * Almonds * 100% Natural Peanut Butter Dairy * 2% Milk * String Cheese * Yogurt Everyone post up your shopping list to see what else is good.

All of the above are staples in my fridge/pantry. A couple other things I have found that are really good and versatile in the kitchen are:
Agave Nectar as a sweetener, natural and a little goes a long way for baking and if you have to have something sweet. Cinnamon is yummy on anything and also helps with circulation. Flax seed meal and hemp seed (not the smoking kind) haha. is really good to add to protein shakes and oatmeal for a little extra protien and nutty taste. Quinoa is a great grain, you can make salads with it, heat it up and eat it like cereal or add sun dried tomatoes to it and other spices for a side dish served warm. Its really interesting stuff. Most of these ideas and things I actually found in the Eat Clean Diet cookbook. It has some awesome recipes and information. Lisa

If you cook quinoa according to the package directions and then add 1 or 2 egg whites and mix it up really good, you can then bake it on a sheet at about 425 degrees for maybe 20-25 minutes and it's like crackers. Sorry, I don't have an actual recipe, but if you sprinkle some sea salt on it, it totally satisfies my cravings for chips. Just a little something to try.
