Nutrition 48 hrs before competition
In a few weeks, I will be in a physical competition at work. This will include a run, a sprint, sit-ups, push-ups, and benchpress. Our fitness level is assessed by our % +/- the Cooper Standards.
I've been doing good cutting time off my runs and adding to the bench. What should I eat for the few days just before the assessment? I'm thinking foods very high in carbs, as it's too late for any proteins to be made into muscle mass to make a difference on the day of the testing. |

carb loading does not just involve eating lots of carbs the night before an event. you need to deplete yourself of carbs a few days before and then load up the days before the event.
Here is a good article with the different methods of carb loading. http://www.active.com/story.cfm?STOR...ECKSSO=0&NUM=1

What was the purpose of the competition? What were your numbers?
