Recipe Thread

As per Lisa's great idea, let's have a recipe thread.

I'll start with a supper that I cooked previously today.

BQ Garlic Potatoes: Cut up potatoes that had 3 cloves of garlic, salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil wrapped up in tin foil

BBQ Veggies: Cut up portobello mushrooms, green peppers, orange peppers, yellow peppers, onion, and garlic with a little bit of olive oil wrapped up in tin foil.

Steak: Two T-Bone steaks that have been marinating for two days with a roasted pepper and garlic rub......BBQ'd to medium rare.

Red Wine: My own Vieux de Chateau du Roi that I made.

Recipes are 10X better with a picture of what you're going to be eating.

That made me think there is a Real easy way. Just add all the ingredients except meat, green onions, and sesame seeds & run through the Blender 20 seconds or so till smooth and blended...... My New Improved Easier recipie..... Thanks! Then add meat, chopped green onions, ground sesame seeds, and marinade.....

Hey David wheres that Garlic Herb Lamb recipe???? PLEEEEEESE share. I have a leg of lamb, rack of lamb, lamb chops and lamb shoulder steaks just dying for some marinade. My husband went crazy at the county livestock auction he bought a lamb, 3 pigs & a turkey. Plus he went fishing in Alaska and I have a ton of halibut and salmon. And during hunting season we add venison and elk to the freezer. I could feed a small country! Luckily I love to cook, I do so every night and we give our employees a nice box of meat after the auction. Any lamb recipes are welcome.

A Simple marinade that works good with Beef, chicken, pork, lamb, fish, shrimp. Wish bone Italian dressing. Get the "Robusto" with all the herbs and spices and doctor it up, try some cajun spices,Fresh cracked black pepper. or fresh chopped parsley, thyme, or rosemary. Smaller cuts of lamb such as chops, steaks are more tender and require less cooking. Leg of lamb is more tough and has more connective tissue, tendons etc. So You have to cook low and slow for more time to break down the Tougher muscles and "Stuff". I had earlier in the year some BBQ elk it was a simple teriyaki marinade, and a red wine marinade, cooked rare-medium rare YUM YUM YUM! Food network and chowhound.com has some good reipies and tips......
