Are You An Adventurous Eater?

After participating in the Anthony Bourdain thread, I was wondering how many people consider themselves adventurous eaters? I myself will try pretty much anything. I am not a picky eater whatsoever and just LOVE trying new foods. My wife on the other hand is quite a conservative eater.

How adventurous does everyone else consider themselves?

Filipinos are smart.. they figured... we eat eggs.. we eat grown chicken/duck... why are we so anxious to eat this poultry... so anxious that we eat it before it fertilizes... then we wait a while till it's fully grown... they said.. hey, why wait.. let's eat it now... why wait... after all.. it tastes good as egg.. and it tastes good as full grown.. let's have a little of both...
balut was born!!!.. sorta..

Hmm, I just googled it and you're right.....it doesn't look all that appetizing. But I'd still try it though.

Wasn't that the fruit that took Andrew Zimmon down? I mean that dude has eaten some N A S T Y shat (ie... middle east-rotting meat) and he said it was a fruit that finally got him.

Yep, from what I remember, he refused to eat the durian because it smelled so bad. The rotting meat was disgusting...I almost hurled while watching that episode.

I'm adventurous, but not as adventurous as Andrew Zimmon. That guy will eat ANYTHING. I'm open minded enough to eat tripe, cow brains, cow tongue, goat, pigs feet, hell pigs ears, but I'll pass on Balut. I have my standards.

Ohhh and when I get a steak, that baby better be dripping in blood washed down with a good glass of red wine.

So, I'll try almost anything once. Except McDonald's fillet of fish sandwiches. I'd rather eat dog food. Yuuuuck!

I would say that I'm a picky eater, but I do enjoy balut and durian (maybe it's a cultural thing). Some things that I can't eat/wouldn't try are boiled chicken, pigs feet, and chickens feet.
