Lets Talk Fish...

I'm not a really big fan of fish but one day i decided to go out and buy one..

first fish I ever bought was sea bass..omg..this has gotten to be the best fish..so tender..at 8.99 a pound it better be

so, next one i bought was a sturgeon..very thick skin, not a fish i like much..pass, only 5.99 a pound, so not worth it..

after that it was halibut..another ok fish..not as tender as sea bass but not bad.. 5.99 a pound..

Any other good fishes out there?

Sea Bass meat is oily so it is harder to overcook. It tastes very good IMO.
Halibut is very low fat and like most white fish will overcook if you cook it just a minute too long.

It's best to cook fish outside though so your house doesn't stink!

Halibut, tuna steak, sole, and salmon are all fantastic. I eat every type of shell fish as well.

Copper River Salmon when it's in season from mid-May to mid-June. Fresh halibut fish and chips. And I had a Miso-glazed Black Cod a couple nights ago at Michael Mina in Las Vegas that was simply amazing.

The best way IMO, Filipino Style!season it, fry it whole, eat it with steamed rice, and mixture of chopped up tomato and boiled salted egg. Alternative to mixture is a dipping sauce of freshly squeezed lemon with patis (fermented fish sauce). Us Filipinos love the skin, tail, and head.. you westerners should try this.. really good.. Tilapia and Milkfish best fresh frying fish IMO.

My wife is flip, and she eats fish just like that. her favorite is barred surf perch which I catch at the local beaches.

Fried catfish with a side of grits and hush puppies, glass of sweet tea on the side

"dirty souf" style!

I'm half Jamaican so I can always go for some snapper, tilapia, and shark too

We never fry our fish, it's always baked or grilled. Yours sounds delicious though.
