There are lots of things you can do with these bad boys...you can either make some classic dishes like steak au poive (black pepper crusted steak) or some steak diane. Both are very simple and delicious. Of course, you can always grill them and brush them with some seasoned butter (basically butter with the seasonings you prefer).

rub olive oil on both sides then take fresh cracked pepper and make a nice coating on both sides followed by a light dusting of oregano and paprika. in a hot cast iron pan cook both sides until a crispy coating develops(cooking time can be anywhere from 6-10 mins per side depending how thick and how much you want the steak cooked) rare is best. now you have a pittsburghed steak, in the same pan take half sliced button mushrooms and portobello mushrooms with a half a cup of course diced onions with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and start to saute the mushrooms. after 3 mins deglaze the pan with a cup of red wine to scrape the goodness off the pan, add another 2 tablespoons of butter and reduce, this will make a sauce.

I found some stuff at the grrocery one day called montreal steak seasoning. Blew my mind, I love it. I've used it in marinade, grilling, everything.
Quick marinade- Olive oil and the montreal seasoning
Grilling- just brush it on w/ butter to get that blackened effect.

It's best for burgers though, mix it in w/ the ground beef while you're making patties. amazing.

I've mentioned it in other posts, however this is by far the best tasting rub that I have used. I just love it.

I typically like to rub olive oil on both sides, then some salt, and pepper. Then I throw some basil & oregano. All on both sides of course! Mmmmm.....I do the same with a tomato. Cut a tomato in half, and use the same stuff that I did on my steak.

People love my steaks, what I typically do is take steaks (typically filets but it tastes good with any decent steak), pour worchester sauce on it, then I sprinkle some garlic salt, grinded peppercorns, cayanne pepper, and some cinnamon. Then I grill it til medium rare or just put it on a skillet thats coated with olive oil. I'll also throw some shallots onto the skillet and serve it on top of the steaks.

I like my steak with just salt and pepper on a charcoal grill. Best way to enjoy the natural flavor of beef.
When I have friends over, I do a chinese black pepper sauce. You can find black pepper sauce in jars at chinese grocery stores. First saute some onions until the onions soften. Toss in some crush garlic and saute a little longer. Add some mushrooms. Stir in the pepper sauce and hit it with little wine. Little bit of soy sauce and sugar. Taste to see if flavor needs to be adjusted. I use corn starch mixed with water to thicken the sauce. Take your steak that grilled medium rare and put some of the pepper sauce over it. Sprinkle some green onion on top.
No pictures, may be this weekend.

Good stuff! They make a chicken seasoning also. I use both in my restaurants.
