Do you fondue?

Does anybody here do their own fondue? I had my first experience about 3 years ago in a new fondue restaurant downtown. I was extremely leery, but came out a huge fan. To the point that I bought my own electric fondue set.

I made it last night, so yummy. Had the staple products: potatoes, broccoli, chicken and another pot with cheese to dip bread. But tried some new stuff too. Asparagus, bell peppers, tofu, pearl onions. I used a vegetable broth cooking base with green onions and a bunch of random seasonings. Too full to do the desert plan afterwards.

If you can get past the fact that it takes FOREVER to eat, its good stuff.

Yep, my wife and I have a nice stainless steel fondue set and we have one every couple of months. My wife likes having beef and chicken while I prefer seafood. Fondues are great and are obviously very easy.

I didn't know you could buy electric fondue sets. It's definitely good stuff, but I rarely ever have it.

I haven't had a fondue for nearly 20 years. Wow.

First one I bought was fondue fuel...but I couldn't ever get the heat right...always seemed too hot. Electric has been excellent...

Only fondue I've had has been at the Melting Pot restaurant... MAN is it good! I think I'll have to get a fondue set for my apartment next year - excellent idea.
