Anyone Here Diabetic and Know Any Recipes?

Im 20 And Just Recently Diagnosed With Diabetes a Week Before Christmas 2007. No One In My Family Has Diabetes What So Ever. I Just Seemed To Get It. I Have A Hard Time Taking My Insulin Because I Hardly Eat Anymore. Was Wondering What Everyone Eats And What Is Good

Hello there,

I think there's a cooking book that is geared towards diabetics. Let me try to find it and post it here. One of my good friends is diabetic and she loves this cookbook. Let me try finding it online.

Here it is. She made me the Huevos Rancheros once and it's great!

My Mother and also my GF recently were diagnosed with this. Neither has to take insulin at this point.

The GF does not take it seriously enough in my opinion.

Good luck!

type 2 im guessing, im type one where i take needles of insulin every time i eat a meal. let the gf know that it is something to take seriously (even though i should be eating my own words) cuz if something complicates than it can be bad (like you can get legs, feet, ect amputated) and i dont want that cuz then i wont be able to hit the clutch, so im trying to take it more serious and eat and take my insulin and keep the blood sugar under control. tell ya gf to make sure she takes it serious, and help her along thru it so nothing bad happens

^^Ya, the doctor told her that every time she reaches for a piece of cake, think of it as eating one of her fingers or her eyesight.

I need to nag her more for sure.
