Lets Talk about your Best Ham Burgers!?!

What are some different kinds of Ham Burgers? Do you have a favorite recipe? or Do you prefer a favorite restaurant ham burger? Are you a meatless ham burger type of person? Do you load up on the condiments? Any secret sauce!?!
Do tell?!?

As for me, I am one of those who like Carl's Jr. the six dollar burger, my fave is the guacamole bacon six dollar burger... I only eat fast food when budget allows it.

But these days, I buy those standard patties at our local grocery stores, grill 'em, and just pile them up with condiments like sliced red onions, mustard( I am mustard person), ketchup or sliced tomatoes, and sliced pickles with lettuce on good wheat bun.
Sometimes, I do add mayo to my burger, it all depends...what I go in my pantry.

I like making my own patties. Here's what I typically use:

Ground beef (73% beef / 27% fat)
Finely chopped onions
Worchestershire sauce
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Eggs

I also add a cude of Brie in the center of the patty, so when you take a bite out of the burger it stays juicy and ozzes with cheese.

^^^That sounds about right. You could add some mustard and a few shots of Sam Adams beer

lately I get the sweet and smokey steakhouse burger from Pub 99

If I make them at home on the grill...pre made patties with bud light poured over them and some MS.DASH for seasoning and then more bud light...man I'm getting hungry

I make my own burgers as well and slap them on the grille. In a bowl, I'll mix up the following:

1 lb ground beef
1 beaten egg
fresh parsely
2-3 cloves of fresh garlic
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tsp worcestershire sauce

I'll typically top my burger with swiss cheese and fresh mushrooms.

Thumbs up

1 lb ground beef (90% or better; the fresher the better)
1 beaten egg
finely chopped parsley
1/2 package of taco seasoning
1/2 cup of bread crumbs

I usually use deli sliced American cheese
I'm obligated to say I got this recipe from my friend Jorge. That bastard won't let me take credit for such an awesome burger.

I don't eat beef, so I substitute ground beef for ground turkey (I used to eat beef, and I must say that the ground turkey hits the spot at least as well as beef). In a bowl, mix the following:

1 lb ground turkey
1 finely sliced red bell pepper
1 cup of corn kernels
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2-3 cloves of garlic

Make patties, toss them on the grill, add favorite condiments (mushrooms, lettuce, cheese, ketchup, etc)

I've had quite a few old timers say it's one of the best burgers they've had.

i've always wondered if it would make a difference to have burgers made with a really good cut of steak. Something like a ground top sirloin or ground new york strip or something.

One thing that I have been told by my butcher is to never use lean ground beef for hamburgers on the grille. He stated that burgers made from lean ground beef are much more dry and not near as flavourful. He recommended getting regular or medium if you are grilling.

I start with 85/15 ground beef
1/2-3/4lb patty
Emeril's Essence
Charcoal Weber kettle grill
Beer to put out any fires/add flavor.

Serve on sourdough with colby or cheddar and your favorite adult beverage!
