MREV2 & 5/16 Space install with pics
OH!! YEAH!! Very nice. Yep i finally did the Motordyne mod and i must say i'm very happy. I let the car sit over night and did the mod at 0700am. It took me all of just about 80minutes to complete the job by myself. Got lots of tips from this forum which really help. Big thanks to CATO and Maxpower for their thread on their installs. The watch outs they mentioned wasn't that bad because thanks to them, i was expecting them and knew what to do. Forgot who it was on the forum but i copied their method of holding the top plenum up with a stretcher. I read the install instructions over and over so i pretty much knew them by heart. Just really had to refer to them for the torque sequence.
So other than the tips from CATO and Maxpower the procedures are straight forward. I read so many threads about people busting bolts i was a little nervous until i got started. And of course my inch-pound torque wrench was a must. If you've ever replaced an intake it's pretty much the same, just lots of bolts. I must say though take you time when you're doing this mod.
I didn't do any of the resets either and this thing is running strong. The sound is a little louder and really sounds good past 5K RPM, really BAD *** !!!. I have this special road i goto in the palmdale desert where i can really open it up, and yep i did. Feel and sounds fantastic. I would recommend this mod to anyone with the rev up engine.
Pictures of my install below
Just taken the cover off getting ready
All bolts unbolted and the top plenum comes off
Same for the bottom plenum
New MREV2 inplace, notice the longer runners compared to the OEM
Showing the internal spacers that attaches to the top plenum, they're held in place by the bolts
Top plenum back on
Z-Tube re-attached
All back together, this stealth mod keeps things looking OEM
A closer look and you can see the spacer

Finished the job by installing the Collant Control Valve in about 15mins, real easy mod. I did this before on other cars by basically blocking the flow. The good thing about the MD valve is you have the option to keep it close or open depending on the weather.
I live in Palmdale (high desert) and during summer months it stays over 100 degrees daily. And the winter months can dip down in the low teens, this is an excellent mod that comes with the MD ISO package. See picture below of the valve, i just installed it today and it's in the close position.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Makes no difference. Make sure no contaminants get into the engine once the bottom plenum's off by covering the holes with a clean, dry towel. You don't want to end up like this guy.
