So does everythingG35.com. That's where I bought mine for any future readers of this thread.

I drilled out both stacks and used the 4 bolts. Then just used two machine screws to plug up the rivot holes You can re-rivot or just use silicone sealer or something.

IMHO with so many used Zs around, it's not worth the $80 to buy a new lower.

This is what i did plus high temp black sealant to make a little more stealth.

I know it's old. But just bump! So anyone dyno for rev up air box? I've heard about it can make 2-3 hp or 3-5 hp. Which is part of power band? low end or mid range or top end?

Thanks

Mike

No one is going to dyno this thing. 2-3 hp is well within dyno error. It's more for some low end pickup vs total hp

not so much an HP boost mod.. more so a drivability mod.. it tends to smooth out the drivability of the car... not so much give you an actual HP increase... ya know?

Something like that, my tuner wanted it on before tuning as it makes the readings more reliable/flow of air over the meter smoother etc.

Thank guys! Maybe I've noob question. You said that rev up airbox has notice difference low end only. Is it has a little improve fuel economy? Or maybe I'm wrong?

EDIT: I don't care about top end. I always shift gear less than 3 or 4 rpm because I'm eco modder, not performance. I think you have noticed difference rev up air box with other mods or not?

I've had this mod for about 3 years now and I would say the same..1+with RicoG35X,It makes the rpm band alot smoother and when the weather is a little cooler out the car seems more responsive.I would say the fuel economy has stayed the same for me.

Eco modder, that's a new one for me. I'm guessing the G35 is not your typical eco modder platform.
In theory this would increase economy since it cleans up the airflow over the maf sensor allowing for more acurate readings.

Thing is bro... any minimal gains in MPG's.. if ANY, will probably get swallowed up by the change in drivability smoothness... (right-foot syndrome)

Yeah, what Rico said

It's probably cheaper to get the mod version i got unless you can find a cheap revised airbox somewhere.

Might poke around the wrecking yards for an airbox.
