But if I don't have a spacer yet, do I need to get it to add the revup box, or is that only if I'm going to use a ztube as well?

Trying to flush out a list of parts I need before I start buying..

Thanks for your help!

Spacer, z-tube, rev-up airbox, K&N filter, etc. can all be done separately or all at once, it just depends on your budget and preferred approach.

buy the spacer first then choose the air box or zutube, or buy the air box and ztube at the same time.

box and ztube should be around 200 or less.

Got my 06 350z airbox in the other day. Today I switched out the velocity stack and I must say there is definitely a difference in exhaust note and some low end grunt. I would say it was worth the $30.00. HR Y pipe is up next.

Can anyone recommend a place other than everythingg35.com (which I couldn't find the part 16526-AC700 on) or infinitipartsusa.com, preferably in Canada so that I don't have to pay the $146 from the dealer for the air box...

Not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure that the Z airboxes are shaped differently than the ones on the G.

+1. They are. You can get a Z RevUp airbox, but you'll have to drill out the rivets on the velocity stack and then swap velocity stacks between the two airboxes. Those are the only shared parts.

I know that this might not be the correct spot for this question, but can someone briefly explain what a 5/16" spacer does? I'm not very technically inclined, but I did manage to install my K&N drop-in without any trouble...

The spacer allows more air flow to get to the front cylinders because on the stock plenium slopes down and starves the front cylinders for air. This is the best performance upgrade for our cars. You will feel the different too once its installed. I believe it will give you 10 more HP at the wheels.

I got my rev-up air box today and will be putting it on tomorrow. I noticed that there is a small hallow tube sticking out. Do I need to take the rubber piece off my old one and put it on the new one. Let me know if I need to do this.

Does anyone sense any irony that we take parts off the non-revup to make the revup faster and parts off the revup to make the non-revup faster

are you guys ordering the entire air box? Or just the portion that has the velocity stack? (if it’s even sold separately)
