Very nice.

I didn't like the slight smell of fuel in my car after this mod so yesterday I cut the spare tire well out of my car, welded a steel plate in its place and moved the box and my fuel system (surge tank and bosch 044 race pump) back under the car.

great write-up djposephm! Very concise and intriguing.

Q45tech posted some very good reference material regarding exhaust (after cat) and its relation to back pressure and scavenging... I did a quick read and its very interesting, however I don’t know that it clearly indicates whether a system such as this would be advantageous or not so good...

I'd be curious to see a/f changes (if any) and to know whether it helped with scavenging... did you notice any difference in performance?

Can you put the evap system in an airtight enclosed box, wouldn't that stop the smell from getting into the rest of the car?

You would most likely have to cut out your spare tire well to fit that exhaust. Also it would need to be extended.

It's up higher in the quarter panel. Coupes are wider in the rear.

I haven't noticed a gas smell, but I am going to be custom fitting a box around the evap canister and molding the carpeting to the box.

Very nice bro. I wish that Infiniti would have given all 2003 G sedans a true dual exhaust, full nismo aero kit and coupe 19s (b/c of the ultra hot offsets and they look great).

OP, any plans on either running a full nismo kit or painting the lowers?

Nah, to me cost doesn't outweigh the benefit of a kit.

Looks great. The one thing I would have done different is to use a single inlet/dual outlet muffler after the Megan Y-Pipe to give it a cleaner looks and quieter sound as pictured below.

i would've liked a single muffler underneath, then out to the quad pipes. i like the look of quad pipes just not the mufflers right behind them.

Nope haven't seen it, thanks for the input though. It was more of a joke than anything
