So I would say it would fit the stock G35x mid pipe then without an issue. Would you agree?

So anyone looking for just replace a bad Y pipe, could go with the M2.

Yeah it would definitely work. My kit even came with replacement gaskets.

Why would you want to replace stock y-pipe on 2004 g35x if it is basically the same as HR other than upgrading to stainless? New here and looking at upgrade options.

So I need a new y pipe due to mine rusting out and making a rattling noise.
After I reading this thread I am still not sure on if this M2 Performance Stainless Y-Pipe Exhaust w/ Flex 2008-2012 Infiniti G37 VQ37VHR
will fit my 2006 G35x or not.
If not what Y pipes can I use?
Thanks.

Bosal now makes this part

Okay, so now Bosal has JUST released (last week) the proper direct fit Y-pipe for the G35X AWD Sedans. I just spoke with a Bosal rep and he said the pipe is direct fit for 2004 and 2005 G35X Sedans.

The part number is 750-547 and "list price" is something like $370 but he said it will be significantly cheaper at the resellers. It's very new so none of the resellers have it in their catalog yet, but they have 10 of them sitting in their warehouse in NJ and resellers should be able to get them by calling directly.

Yup. Just ordered it from NAPA locally and they quoted me about $170 for it. It comes from the Bosal warehouse in NJ. Most other places either can't or won't order it because it's too new and doesn't show up in their catalogs.

I'm really glad they came out with this, the only other direct fit option was the OEM or this one for $280 off ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2005-iNfinit...662daf&vxp=mtr made by Fast Line Muffler

I looked at the picture and $370 seems pretty steep. And for that price I would assume that they could pay a halfway decent graphics person who could competently operate the "Magic Wand" tool in photoshop.

Troll? The part is on Bosal's online catalog.
Like I said, $370 was "List" Price.
I got quotes from $160 to $230 from actual local resellers (NAPA Auto parts in Herndon, VA and Olympus Auto Parts in Alexandria, VA) to special order it.

Either way, just thought this info might be helpful to others, since it's a brand new aftermarket part and dealer price is about $500.

HA!.. yeah.. this pic shows some really weird bends and kinks along the length of the pipes between the flex joints and the collector... kinda makes me nervous!
