I have a 2004 and the CEL kept coming on, even after I reset it. It would come back on after 20 to 50 miles. I tried the spark plug non fouler and it works, been around 3000 miles now and no CEL. I bought two sets because I read that you need to stack them for it to work, but mine is working with only one adapter on each O2 sensor. If you need a a set PM me and I'll sell it to you, it's already drilled.

spark plug defoulers. the cheapest and easiest anwser to the SES light when adding test pipes. can be picked up at your local pepboys for 2 dollars. dont waste your time with the o2 simulator box.

i had testpipes on my car at one time. the day after i installed them the SES light came on and i installed the sparkplug defouler/o2 sensor spacer, reset the ecu and the SES light stayed off.

gl with your testpipes

Nope. No modifications or aftermarket replacement of the cats are CARB legal.

You won't ever get a CEL because you still have cats on the car. You get the CEL if you remove the cats because you have a front and rear 02 sensor. Without the cats these read the same since the cats have not "cleaned up" the exhaust so you throw a code. Now on my brothers Mustangs you can purchase a MIL extension which interrupts the signal from the 02 sensor and tricks the ECM into saying everything is good so no light, but they have tunes and the rear 02 sensors are just turned off so no problem.

No CEL on my '03 (so far...crossing fingers). Didn't use non-foulers or 02 simulators either...

I just installed FI 300 Cell cats about 500 miles ago. you can see from my sig what year my car is. I have not thrown a CEL yet either. K.O.W. I was also sure to be extra careful with my O2 sensors when I took them off.

good luck
