The Gemini was also mild. IMHO it was borderline to mild but because it roared to life with a little mash of the pedal and sounded very healthy I was ok with it. Now add the hfc's and its like someone turned the volume up straight across the board

Cool thanks man. Yeah just don't want it to only be a little louder than stock but I also don't want it to be super drony and obnoxious...seems to all be either or... the struggle haha

found this vid of Gemini with ARTS- sounds....sick...

Ok here is the way my car sounds with the gemini and hfc's. It was taken right now in the garage with the door closed so not make the neighbors mad. Sorry it's out of focus, that adds to the mystique lol

Sounds great man- thanks for that! Did you need to get a tune when you got your HFCs? I hear it'll run lean... that's why I was trying to avoid TPs or HFCs but man does it sound great and I'm sure you get more power out of it too hah

Yep I have a tune. To me it's necessary for any body on mods to get Maximum benefit. And yes once you add the hfc's or test pipes it starts to lean it out.

Yeah that makes sense- what'd you tune with if you don't mind me asking. By the way thanks for the help. I've brought my options down to the Gemini or the Momentum exhaust (need to do more research hah).

Unfortunately I can't say since installed the Gemini and ARTs in one swoop. The combo is plenty loud when you get on it, all while still maintaining that beloved VQ tone that I bought the car for.

Ah- yeah I would do both at once but then I'd need a tune and another 600$

It's crazy how nice the Invidia Gemini sounds- clips even seem louder than the other mild exhausts (Magnaflow, Apexi WS2, Tanabe Medalion, Stillen, Borla, and Fujibutso) but not obnoxious (TopSpeedN1 lol)

How much drone do you guys have with your HFCs and the Invidia cat-back system?
I have FI HFC and Injen TI Tip cat-back...and the drone is pretty bad under 3K RPMs...

The drone is minimal with the setup I have (ARTs + Invidia Gemini). I really only hear it when going up a hill or something at low a low RPM and occasionally on the highway in 6th.

When you get past 3k it really comes alive, 4k+ at full throttle is beastly with the ARTs.

I guess they only way to know for sure if ride with someone who has a particular set-up.
I hate to spend the $$$ to swap out my current Injen set-up (w/Magnaflow welded in the Y) with a new Invidia set-up, only to find that the drone is essentially the same.
On my set-up, agree...the worst drone is low RPM (say... 1800-2000 and in 4th/5th/6th gear) and you give her some gas....
Anybody in MD have HFC and the Invidia cat-back system that I could ride with ??

My local performance shop has a 350Z with FI HFC and FI cat-back that I'll try to ride in to see how that set-up compares.
All the video clips out there are just that...OUTSIDE the car. They all sound sweet....including my current set-up...but in the car, the drone, at some points, becomes really bad.
I could just keep the RPMs at 2900 or higher
