Can you CA guys post your smog numbers with HFCs please?

Basically, I'm bout ready for a tune, but I'm thinking about high flow cats. I don't really feel like art pipes are responsible to run on a DD, but if HFCs do a good job, I may be willing to do that.

So if any of you have passed smog in CA with HFCs (especially the Kinetix, cuz that's what I'm looking at), could you please post your numbers so I can compare them to my stock cat numbers? Thanks!

"Art pipes aren't responsible"

Alrighty Mr Gore

Btw though, sort through that thread of people posting their dyno sheets. I'm sure there's plenty of HFC examples in case you don't get the responses you're lookin for.

i will do that next month. My HFC are Fast Intention. But didn't they do away with the sniffer test? I thought they just read the computer hooked up to your car and do a visual now.

Do dynos measure the smog numbers too? Not sure why they would. That would be helpful if they did tho.

That may be true (not sure), but I would like to compare numbers. I know it'll "pass" cuz I've passed other cars with HFCs, but I wanna know how well they work at elimination smog compared to stockers. My car makes almost zero emissions at full operating temp right now.

Had you Searched using smog test in CA you would have discovered with the new STAR system they visually check everything and HFCs haven't passed the sniffer test in years, if ever. If you have an intake you'll need a CARB sticker or you'll fail there too! Nothing is easy in our over populated state but I wouldn't live any where else...Gary

I don't care about how its done. That's not my question. I want to compare real numbers of people who have passed smog in CA with high flow cats.

^ I would. i actually want to move out of Cali. Sure we have everything here but it's becoming more strict and expensive to live here.

Its definitely reaching that tipping point of 'is it worth it?'. Lots of people and businesses leaving already. Being born and raised in San Diego tho, its tough to leave. Ive been to a lot of other cities and I've only seen one or two that compare.

I do miss SD but thought about moving to AZ or vegas. If i do stay i want to live near SD. I am hoping in 2 weeks i will get those numbers for you but w/ that new system i never had to deal w/ the star system. Before i go in i will make sure my car is low enough so they can't see the HFC. lol. I think 2'' should be low enough.

No one in CA has passed smog with HFCs, so there are no figures/numbers in recent history. I tried 5 years ago and the tech shook his head when he saw the sniffer figures.
