MD 5/16" Copper Spacer Review/Thoughts
#16
Reset my ECU this evening after work using battery negative disconnect method.
It worked. Power sub 2k is back. Cruise @ 40 mph is 1.6k rpm instead of 2.2. Cruise @ 60 mph is 2.2 instead of 2.6. Cruise @ 70 mph is... 2.8 instead of 2.95 since the spacer was installed.
Idle to 2k rpm feels like the majority of the power is back, and 2.5k+ I can feel the spacer boost. Subtle, but noticeable.
So yeah, reset your ECU's. Not sure from here whether it's learning the new A/F mixture, but at least it isn't worse than stock.

I currently have the same kit sitting under my bed but it's too cold to install for me. Might just get a shop to do it, all the bolts scare me a bit especially the torquing them right part

I'm normally the take it easy kind of guy. When you're driving it up to 2K does it feel the same or a bit snappier?

I'm guessing the A/F ratio is out of whack now at the lower rpms (sub 2k).
I was going to give me ECU a chance to sort itself out since I did the reset a couple of weeks ago. But I've only filled my gas like once since then. Might not be enough driving to get itself adjusted yet.
The ECU reset gave me the "normal" power back, but at this point I can't remember what it felt like stock. I'm pretty sure I lost something sub 2k. Above 2k it is indeed boostier, but I only drive 5 miles through stoplights back and forth from work on a daily basis, so really don't get to 4k much.
