Do you want it slightly louder or you want the stock muffling? If you want it a little louder, the magnaflow with the same piping configuration is probably the best choice, but if you want it stock quiet you can pick pretty much anything off rock auto. There are lots of aftermarket stock-like mufflers that are no where near $1700 - don't fall for that dealer crap. Should cost you ~$100

EDIT: I just checked rock auto and there are a few options. $102 if you're sedan, $108 for a coupe.

Thank you very much, i found the universal Magnaflow's and heard some sound clips, they sound pretty decent, might go with that, thanks again

6 speed G35 sedan
Walker Quiet Flow mufflers will flow better than OEM and only be marginally louder.

if you just want to replace an oem one you can easily find a used one for cheap. but if you want some performance / sound in addition to oem id look at the nismo s-tune muffler. nice deeper sound but can get loud when you step on it

Best sound that is close but better than stock is a Nismo muffler. They show up used on this forum

Nismo? Screw that, you had the right idea in your second post...Magnaflow, made right here in the USA! They sound better in person than those vids made with Target recorders.
