Tint, 3M vs. Solar Guard
1. I will be tinting my 04 g35X in a couple weeks. Just wanted some opinions and advice on what brand to use and if Ceramic Tint (Huper Optik) is worth it in NYC?
2. Can any NYC members recommend somewhere reputable in NYC or NJ where I can get a professional tint job done with Lifetime warranty?
Thanks in advance.

I was going to get Huper, but they don't offer really dark tints. If you don't want to get a dark tint, then get the Huper. A lot of people say it's the best you can get for the darkness.
I ended up getting 6% solar guard metallic on my rear windows and it stops allot of heat, definitely worth it. Unfortunately front tint is limited to 70% total in Cali (and Japan), which means no after market tint, boo.

Go with ForumlaOne Pinnacle Series
I would go with FormulaOne Pinnacle series ceramic tint. It has the same performance as Huper Optik, but is cheaper and the film is thinner since it's actually designed for automotive use:

Heat rejection performance of this film is awesome, and you have more choices for how dark you want to go.
