Really?! You people don't love this? Especially you Cali fools? Dang..

No drilling in yer bumper

Cop pulls you over for no front plate, you push the button and "correct" him as it pops up out of nowhere..? This thing is sweet!

in cali it is only a fix it ticket. pick up the stillen front license plate kit and go get it written off then take it off again and replace the square insert on the bumper.

^not saying you cant get rid of the ticket. my friend had this problem on his 300zx, and just scotch taped the plate on, got it thrown out by showing a pic, and took it right back off, but this way they can't even write you a ticket and waste your time with this BS.

Well I just saw a thread posted like three days ago asking for a solution, so 1999 isn't a exactly advertising to the people who need/want it.

Like Joker posted, this is old news! The way I scrape leaving driveways I'd get a ticket for destroying the license plate. Looking back 8 to 10 years Stillen still sells a bracket that attach's to your tow bar area, much better solution for mounting your plate! More old news and it's not throw back Thursday!

Saw this on a G37. Seemed like some James Bond stuff. All we need is one that replaces your plate with a dummy and you'll have yourself a clean getaway

Somebody on here built a similar system for his rear plate, a long, long time ago.

This thing is old. I never went for that system because it would have scraped the hell out of my front plate or it would have hit something and broken off.

You could easily cut out a bit of the honeycomb of the lower vents on the bumper and have it pop out of there. Then scraping wouldn't be an issue.

Honestly, I've had the car for a year now and have had 0 issues using the stock front plate frame and a binder clip.

It doesn't leave any marks on the car and if someone does bump you, it doesn't mess up your tow hook threads.

Takes about 30sec to take off, too. I put electrical tape all around the stock plate frame just to prevent plastic from rubbing on the bumper, but it's probably not needed.
