2006 Coupe driver's side window problem...
Hey All -
My 2006 Coupe is starting to irritate me. In less than a year I've put two new window motors in the driver's side door (DIY) - after performing the auto-up/auto-down reset procedure, the window will behave normally for a couple of weeks - then suddenly with no warning, it will roll 1/3 down when I shut the door after getting in. I've had to redo the auto-up/down procedure twice now (take door panel off, press button, press reset button...etc.). Also, when this happens the auto "window jog" function (window moves down 1/4 inch when door opens) stops working. The only way I can keep the window closed after opening is to hold the window up switch for several seconds after the window is all the way up...and sometimes I have to do this several times to get it to stay up. Otherwise it rolls down 1/3 of the way...
Is there something else controlling the window that I need to replace? Some computer-controlled relay somewhere? What controls that auto-up/down/jog function? While I am getting quite adept at pulling the door panel, I'm really getting tired of the reset procedure. Any ideas?
Thanks;
Don
