Question about gap between trunk and rear fender normal or needs to be fixed?

So I got rear ended last week. the damage was all on the rear bumper and misaligned the rear light from what I can see. It was a truck so the hit was higher up possibly cleared the support brace idk yet. Can any other G35 owners confirm that the gapping is normal or possibly caused from the collision?

I'm hoping that's the case. Just seems like the gap is too big now. I'm probably looking for imperfections that aren't there since I was hit. Idk

I was thinking about doing that too. Literally everyone I know who has a g35 has an aftermarket trunk so that's not going to help.

If any other g35 owners would be willing to post similar photos of their car to compare would be highly appreciated.
