Random Broken Piece. Need Help Identifying

Random Broken Piece. Need Help Identifying
Hey guys-
So, I found this broken piece of what i think is part of my passenger seat.
It was just sitting on the floor close to the seat. I cant see under to where it could have come from. Or if its even a part of my car.
I did have one of my (hate to stereotype)"bigger" friends in the car the other day.The broken part seems pretty strong. as if there must have been some serious force to snap it
the seat still moves back and forth as well as reclines.
Im stumped. has anybody seen a piece like this? or know what it might be?
there appears to be a 2 prong connection and there is a little rod secured in the center (tightly wound) part of the spring.
