So for a couple of months now, my rear window would roll up automatically fine but would drop like 2-3 inches automatically as well when it hit the top. That didnt bother me, but today, the rear window wouldnt even roll up when I rolled it down. I brought it to my mechanic and he just basically hit the spot where the window motor was while holding the roll up button and it worked. Told me it was a temporary fix and to lock the window till I can bring it in.
BTW, I do hear the clicking when I press the roll up button, the window just doesnt move.

 

Sounds like your window motor is bad, I know because I had to replace mine. The problem with the window not completely staying up is, a reset procedure you will have to do once the motor is replaced. ( use the search button to find the steps) it's very simple to replace the motor and reset the window, shouldn't take more then 30 -40 minutes the most if that
