My Latest Mods *pics*

I finally got a chance to get some photos with my friend's digital camera. I know a lot of you have been waiting to see the clear corners I've been talking about made by CadillacCarl2001 (thanks again). I also bought myself a Razo automatic shift **** for my birthday =) Some friends got me Levoc alluminum pedals and now I finally have pics to show you.

If you want to know more details about the clear corners, ask myself of CadillacCarl2001. Thanks!!

Click below to see pictures. Enjoy

LEDs? No, you just use the same type of bulb as what is there. The whole clear corners are exactly the same as the amber stock ones.

Re: My Latest Mods *pics*

Hi Rumble:
I am new to this forum, but I have been reading and posting on freshalloy.com for a while... I was invited by hesperian to the last meet in Toronto since I live in Toronto as well... however it was unfortunate that I was out of town and couldn't make the meet.

Anyways, I am also interested in the clearn corner lenses... and I would like to know more about them... Thank you for sharing!

SKYLINE_SDN > Welcome to the board!! Make sure you come out to the next meet.

The clear corner lenses are made by CadillacCarl2001. What you have to do is take the original amber corners and take the cover lense apart from the backing, sand down the left over stuck on peices, spray the original backing to a silver colour so that it reflects, and then silicone the clear lenses to the original backings. I have pictures of the installation process in my regular camera and am waiting for the rest of the pictures to be taken and then developed.

TLSBYEBYE > Ahh...I see you found the post. Yeah, finishing this roll of film is taking forever and I don't wanna just waste the film either. Digital camera is in the mail...getting it soon =) I hope you don't mean clear clear tail lights. That would look pretty 'rice'. I want to change my tails to 'red and whites' and I wonder if CadillacCarl2001 can do something like that...haha!! =) Thanks for the compliment on the signature.

Re: My Latest Mods *pics*

Hey Rumble, I was browsing the 'Coupe General' forum recently and came across a post by 'rxkeven' on a similar issue you had months ago when your G was hard to start because the key would not turn. In case you missed it, I thought you might want to know...
Also how is the shift **** you installed working out? any issues?..........Later

Re: My Latest Mods *pics*

Well, for me the key would not come back out of the ignition. I would have to sit there for a minute and wiggle the darn thing for like a minute just to get it out. However, we sprayed a tiny bit of WD40 and everything was okay. My dad thinks that it was because I changed the shift ****. I took it out for now due to the weather. The **** gets REALLY darn cold in the winter and my friends tell me that it gets REALLY burning hot in the summer. LOL. Now, that I took the **** off, the key comes in and out like normal. Hmmm...I wonder if it did have something to do with the ****. I would guess not, but my **** did come loose once and maybe I didn't shift into PARK well enough and the car (being so smart) would not let me take the key out for emergency purposes. Hmmmm...

In terms of starting the car. If he can't start the car, that just means that his keys are not programmed properly. I ran into that situation as well because the dealer gave us and extra genuine key (not programmed). When we tried to start the car with that key, it would not start and takes 5 minutes or so of waiting time until you can use the original 2 keys to start the car. Hope this makes sense. I finally got ALL my keys reprogrammed and now everything is fine and dandy.

Direct him to this post if he is still having these problems or else tell him to PM me.

Re: My Latest Mods *pics*

Rumble, thanks for the info. I think 'rxkeven' has resolved his issue. I believe your changing the shift lever may have had something to do with the stuck key issue because there is a linc (mechanical or electrical) between the **** and the key. When you reinstall sometime you'll have to fine-tune it.
The new key thing is interesting> I knew that any new keys have to be 'programmed' to the computer, but what I didn't know was that there is a 'down time' after a key failure. I think you said of a few minutes duration. That must mean that if there's any attempt at all of using a non programmed key or whatever that the computer shuts everything down for a short time. Interesting.
These computers are quite complex. I'm learning about what was described as "Easter Eggs" or hidden programs on our electrical systems used for system maintenance and checks.
Also interesting. I'll post with follow-up when I learn more.
P.S. what the heck is 'LOL.? I see it a lot and it seems to mean 'later on line' -----am I close or what?????????? Please tell me; it's been gnawing at me for months. LOL

LOL = Laughing Out Loud

I was going to change my shift **** to the MOMO, but after consider with winter (cold on my hand) and summer (burning my hand), I have decided to save the money to an INJEN or Nismo Cold Air Intake plus upgrade stereo

Thanks Tre5 and PBB, I'll remember that. LOL

Paintballbitch: any luck with the mods on the stereo yet? It seemed you got little response. BTW- in case you missed it: my new D/G Coupe arrives in Brantford tomorrow and should be ready for pickup Tuesday. Can't wait. How's yours working out- You still stoaked???
