I want to convert my wife's 04 coupe OEM reflector headlights to 06-07 projectors. According to the lamp guide, the projectors use bi-xenon D2S so the existing D2R bulbs will not work in the new projectors?

Are ballasts compatible between the two styles?

I just noticed this in the 2006 FSM...bulb specified for bi-xenon bulb is a 35W D2R. Or at least appears to be...

How do I know if I need the d2r low beam or the H1? I saw it could be either one on sylvania. I have an 05 coupe. My gut tells me that its D2R as I think all coupes came with HID. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks.

Assuming you have stock headlights, you will need D2R for your HID low beams and H4 for your fog lights/ high beams.

These are headlamp replacements, not just bulbs.

If you want black housings, it's best to just paint them. See the DIY guide here:

Are out STock HId's AC OR Dc current?

There is a vender that only sells AC, but doesnt know car specific. He has a great price on just bulbs but if it wont work the price doesnt matter....
