How to take out trunk light?

The title says it all. I can't open the dome that houses the trunk light? How do I get it out. The manual doesn't say how. Thanks.

It's a PIA but it actually pretty simple.

It's been a little while but if memory serves me right, it took me some time and the access sucks. But basically, you need to push in the side of the dome that has a tab. Once you push it in, pull the dome down and it should come off.

You can try using the tip of a flathead screw driver to push against the tab for more pressure

Thanks I'll try this. I was pushing, pulling, pumping, twisting, and can never get that stupid dome to come off. Good to know I'm not the only one that thinks it's a PITA.

Just grab the tab on the side of the dome and lift above the insert. Should come right off, with no more than minimal effort.
If you're working hard to remove that bulb, you need to be working smart.
