Philips Color Match D2R versus Ultinons
Hey guys,
I'm thinking about getting a new set of HID's to get a whiter light - yes I know I will sacrifice about 20-30% of the lumens for this. Many people buy the 6000K Philips Ultinons and are happy. I noticed that there are also 5000K Philips Color Match HID's that may be reasonably white but maintain an acceptable lumen output. Has anyone tried the Color match bulbs? What are your thoughts on these versus Ultinons? Thanks in advance.

I am picking up the 5000k philips ultinons in a couple days for my new modded headlights. Gives it an ultra white/blue light but doesn't take away too many lumens. 6000k has more of a purple hue to it.
Right now I have Pilot 8000k HID's in both the fogs and headlights. match great, but not so keen on the glare and the significant lumen loss. So I am getting the philips 5000k and picked up a set of 2500k lumincs jdm fog bulbs. Won't give that glare and it's MUCH better in bad weather

5000k 85126CM bulbs are hard to find, but are definitely the best option compared to the philips ultinons 6000k, which lose 25+% of the stock output, while the CM's only lose 5-10% if you don't like the stock color
