Exclamation Ceramic H4 Heavy Duty Wire Harness

Alright so after a search for decent foglights I settled on the Mtec Super White 2x 60/55w>130/110w 4350K bulbs. I also purchased "Heavy duty H4 Ceramic wire harness" to be on the safe side. My question is, are they necessary? Do any of you use it?

I'm not much of an electrical engineer so I'd rather be safe than sorry. Also I noticed the headlight gets noticeably hotter in front of the Mtec's. (Makes sense since more light = more heat) but should I be worried about it?

Those "heavy duty" harnesses are stupid, IMO. After all, you're still plugging that into the factory plug/harness, right? Adding what little resistance there may be in those wires to the entire circuit, and still ending up drawing more power through the stock wires. The only upside is if you have a ridiculously hot bulb (Rally-spec) that may melt the connector itself, the ceramic one will be fine. You'll just have to worry about melting your reflectors.

Anyhow, that MTEC is still a standard H4, just tinted. It's not drawing any more power than stock bulbs, and are actually dimmer.

~Cheers~
