Jdm clock wiring

For those of you guys that have the JDM clock can some one give me some tips on wiring? As of now, it does not light up until the headlights are turned on. I know you have to take one of the wires and splice it into something. Everyone talks about it but no one says which one and to where. If anyone could help me that would be terrific. it would be so much better than me splicing the wires into random ones and blowing a fuse or worse frying the jdm clock ive worked so hard to customize.

so i just metered all the pins with head lights off and head lights on. most left one is 12v constant and 0 output from all other ones when headlights off. with head lights on the 3rd pin gets 12v and 4th is 6v. so with this info how would i wire this? swap the 3rd pin with the 12v constant?

in the pics it actually looks like the clock brightness is too bright. could it be that the led power should actually be the 6v and its getting the 12v?

Edit:
yup so after playing with it some more, the clock is only getting 12v constant when the headlights are on. the variable signal that is changing with the dimming does not affect the clock. so it looks like the led for the clock is the 3rd pin in the middle. now my confusion is how to wire this thing up so i can have it function as it should. 12v in the day time and then dimm when headlights are on.. how do i test the wires on the clock without causing a short?

edit. LOL i just found on the back of the jdm clock the harness is labelled.

so i have
GND____ACC
Reset
LIG_____BAT

so im assuming lig is short for light and should get the variable dimming signal?
BAT to constant 12v whether on or off
acc to 12v on headlight?

im assuming the reset is just interrupting the signal so it could just be spliced into something?

soooo lol okay. swapped the lig to the variable dimming source. i think i pretty much figured it out. i just gotta splice the acc wire to something that actually powers on 12v at acc. anyone know which ones of these is acc power wire? itll just save time for me metering each wire lol

I'm trying to put my JDM clock and bezel into my dash display thing. The JDM bezel I have doesn't have the little windows for the compass or the passenger seatbelt thing. What bezel do you have. I think I can figure the wiring out, but not sure if my bezel situation will work out.
