a ford fiesta is NOT the most effective way to convey to the female species that you are the best candidate.
Considering that a recent survey showed a huge percentage of women
would prefer a guy who drives a Prius over a guy who drives a Porche, you may want to rethink that. I can DD my G35 as I do now, and would not mind a 12 or 11 second Fiesta for track use.

So I guess I'm a better candidate than you to pass on my DNA since I drive a more expensive car

The study covered a pretty good sample size and many major cities, this was not a local publication. Maybe Dallas is an exception but with so many obese people living in Texas they probably have an issue with size more than anything else.

From what I can tell, the Rose-Hulman ChallengeX Hybrid Survey was an online survey tied to a 17 university competition where schools reengineered Chevrolet Equinox SUVs to get better gas mileage. Do you really think a survey conducted on a web site with a big banner that says "Sustain Your Inalienable Right To Mobility - Go Green! Go Hybrid!" is going to attract a bunch of women that like Porsches and Mustangs?

The survey was widely reported around the web but I'm surprised hardly anyone asked for details. Every news report I found directly quoted the press release from General Motors' web site (GM and the Department of Energy apparently sponsored the competition) and gave no further information. Plus, it doesn't appear the actual results of the survey were ever released. What questions were asked? How were the results in the press release interpreted?

The press release indicates that it was conducted by Kelton Research, but their web site makes no mention of it and doesn't list GM, DOE, or Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as clients. Maybe they consulted on the list of questions. I don't know. But, here are a few other survey results courtesy of Kelton Research:

7 Out Of 10 Americans Experience 'Search Engine Fatigue'
Home WiFi More Important Than Starbucks Coffee
Americans know Big Macs better than Ten Commandments

Now, there's some hard hitting research...

The results from the survey I read were from a different source. They specifically targeted women. It was a few weeks ago but I can't recall the exact source.

Are you sure? Here are a few sites quoting the same survey:
