It's interesting that from a design/engineering standpoint, a 100% CF wheel can have the exact same spoke/wheel shape as a metal one. I would have thought that material specifications would have dictated an odd looking shape to make it work.

I wouldn't worry about it too much... I have CF wheels on my bike for 2 years now (10,000miles) and no problem.

If i curbed these i would cry for days and probably have to be admitted to a mental hospital. Imagine walking into a wheel repair ship and being like "Hey, could you give me an estimate on repairing this rash please?"

Oh boy that would be interesting.

First off, most fiber hoods and the like technically, aren't even made correctly.

Second, most of those cf parts you guys pay $5-600 for aren't even carbon fiber... cf costs $100 a square foot no matter who you are, especially now with a shortage of the stuff. Most of the cf parts on the market today are either fiberglass with an aesthetic cf layer (there is a difference between cf for rigidity and cf for looks), or a colored fiberglass weave on top.

i agree with that buy I dont see how you can torque your lugs to a surface made of carbon fiber what do they machine the back side to make sure there is a 100% parallel mating surface? I dont think so
