that is still up in the air. he hasn't been seen since the incident and is in custody with a "mysterious injury", but sentencing has not been declared. it seems divided among the public as to what to do with him. there are a lot of Iraqis who want him freed and praise him as a hero, while many others think it was over the top and juvenile.

i am all for impeachment on Bush and/or Cheney. and as much as i don't like those clowns, i am not excited about this public insult. it does not sit well with me.

And you are exactly right, journalists are supposed to be objective.

the funny thing is, remember when Cheney was in New Orleans about a week after Katrina and the guys living there mimicked Cheney and said, "Go Fvck yourself Cheney!" That I was totally cool with.

This shoe thing I am not cool with. Especially when one realizes that if that journalist would have committed the same act in the Saddam years, he and his family would have been tortured and eliminated. Now he suffers a small beating, is praised a hero by some, and will probably get off with a lenient sentence.
